Tulle Pea Coats Are Coming Soon

Tulle Pea Coats Are Coming Soon

Pea coats have been receiving more recognition over the last few years and rightfully so. This classic silhouette looks chic and stylish and is suited to almost anyone, regardless of their fashion leanings.

The pea coat started life as standard issue for the navy. They are typically double-breasted, made from heavy worsted wool and usually have vertical slash pockets. They also normally have impossibly large lapels, although today's versions have slimmed down slightly in the transfer from the high seas.

They are also being seen on the runway, being flogged by many major designers like Marc Jacobs and labels such as Burberry. Besides being a snappy visual, pea coats are amazingly warm. It's no wonder that sailors have been wearing this design for hundreds of years!

This is a very versatile wardrobe option that anyone can pull off. Coats such as these can be either beautifully androgynous (think with an Englishman's hat and your best cigarette pants, with leather boots or patent shoes) or quite feminine (perhaps with a mid-thigh length skirt with embellishments and colored stockings); all depending on the cut of the coat and what pieces you pair it with.

And it's the best way to look fabulous without sacrificing comfort! I would rather show up to the club with an ultra chic pea coat over my outfit than stand in line looking rather sad, shivering to death. So ladies, it's time for you to find that perfect coat!

This most important thing to consider is fit. You want a pea coat that is not too small to move around in, but you do want one that emphasizes the waist line. Full-length sleeves should reach the bottom of your wrists. Height wise, longer pea coats tend to look better on taller women; however, there are some mid-length coats that can give that same feel to a shorter woman.

Once you get past the fit, there's room for endless fun. Countless styles are offered in every colour and shade imaginable on the market today, and it would be near impossible not to find something you adore. I am particularly partial to an up-and-comer brand: Sweden-based Tulle.

Tulle is a word no longer limited to that gauzy stuff that goes under prom dresses. This is a line of clothing that hits the perfect mid-range between falling apart after twelve months and ridiculously, rent priced expensive.

Though they offer a full line of clothing, it's Tulle's pea coats that really have me checking my closet to see if there's any room left. I know it is the middle of July and no one wants to think about the chilly months of fall and winter, but I am anticipating the first shipment of beautiful Tulle Pea Coats, due this August.

UrbanMinx carried these beauties last fall and winter and I simply couldn't get my order to them fast enough. This coming fall season's collection promises to be just as, if not more, unbelievably gorgeous.

Bright colors and classic shapes that include lots of 1950s peter pan collars, a-line cuts, and bracelet sleeves in rich autumn hues (think eggplant, tomato, crème, black, and evergreen) make for a truly wonderful look.

Even better, the prices are in the $80-$150.00 range that other brands no longer seem to think are their target market. The only drawback is you'll have to shop elsewhere if you're looking for tutus.

Women's Plus Size Coats Can Be Glamorous

Women's Plus Size Coats Can Be Glamorous

Have you even seen this scenario at your office party? You are plus size women and you are mingling throughout the party and you spot another plus size woman with the most stunning outfit you have ever seen in the party.

The shoes are just right, the dress sparkles and the jewelry sets it all off. You envy this person for the rest of the party until, she pulls out a raggedy Coat from the coat checker. The entire outfit is ruined and you want nothing more to do with the outfit that you thought you would go out and buy the next day.

Have you ever seen this? Are you surprised? This scenario happens more than you think. Most women don't pay attention to the coat when picking out a outfit. In most cases women just wear whatever is in the closet, thinking that it is just a coat that will not be seen.

But the truth is a plus size coat is just a important as the entire outfit. It should have just as much attention as the shoes that you brought or the dress or the blouse. In other words a plus size coat can make or break an outfit.

Having the wrong coat can detract from the outfit and pull attention away from what you worked so hard to put together. The messy plus size coat can attract negative energy that can in effect draw negative people to you. Would you want this kind of company? I know I would not want that kind of company.

So how should you look at a plus size coat? Well, of course the coat needs to match the outfit. The color scheme needs not clash with the underline color scheme of your outfit. For example would you wear a pin striped suit and a pokadot coat or vice versa. That is definitely a clash that would not go over very well.

Next you want to wear the appropriate length coat. For example you may want to wear a full length plus size coat with any suit, especially if you trying to look professional. If you´re wearing a dress and your trying to show off a little leg then you may want to consider a 3/4 length coat. Jeans are a different story. A good combination for jeans would be something like a plus size pea coat. The materials of pea coats are perfect for jeans.

I want to leave you with this. As I said before, plus size coats are just a important as the entire outfit. Forgetting to plan can be just a devastating as not putting together a great looking ensemble.

Finding A Jacket For Spring

Finding A Jacket For Spring

Spring weather is by far the most loved time of year. It is not too hot and not too cold. Flowers begin to bloom and love is in the air. It is time to find a nice light jacket. What should you look for in a spring jacket? Here are some tips that can help you find the right spring jacket.

First of all, consider the weather. The spring will have some cool and breezy days, as well as some hot days. Sometimes, the morning will be colder than the afternoon. It can rain often, particularly in the month of April in some areas.

A winter jacket just won't do for this type of weather. You will need a jacket with a lighter material that is water resistant. A jacket with a hood is a good idea as well. A nice light jacket that you can tie around your waist or shoulders, if it gets warm late in the day, is perfect.

Another thing to consider when shopping for a spring jacket is color. Black is the warmest color because it absorbs the sunlight. White is the lightest color and will be the coolest. If you don't have a preference of color, black or white might be a fine choice for you, since those colors match just about everything.

If you have a favorite color, like blue or red, it is not too difficult to find a nice light spring jacket in those colors. To match the themes of spring, light pastel colors like pink and soft yellow are nice colors for spring jackets as well.

The next thing to think about is style. You can choose a sporty type of light jacket with stripes on the sleeves, or a more business-like look with a jacket that has a collar. Do you want your jacket to come down to your waist, or down to your knees?

You also have the option of a button-down jacket or a zip-up jacket. Most spring jackets have pockets, but you don't have to have pockets on your jacket. If you like pockets, you might find one with more than two pockets.

Whatever your preference is, find a jacket that will go well with your clothes, and fit your body type as well. Everyone should have a spring jacket that they love. Take your time, and pick out the one that is just right for you.

While there are articles, websites and even eBooks on how to buy the right winter coat, with Alpaca coats, you have everything you need for long-lasting durability, warmth and style. It's all about what is known as classic chic Alpaca clothing.

Alpaca coats are made with Alpaca wool, the naturally lustrous, waterproof and exceptionally soft wool that hugs the body without stifling it. These fibers are perfect for insulating your body with warmth during the chilly months.

With so many timeless styles to choose from, you can wear your classy Alpaca coat year after year, season after season without any worry of wear or tear. Alpaca coat styles

Having a coat that has a classic style to it is extremely important. Simply buying according to a recent trend can mean one year you have a stylish coat and the following winter you're out of style. Yearly coat purchases are no way to go about keeping yourself warm. Investing in a coat with a certain timeless elegance to it means you'll always be fashionable.

With several styles available, you are sure to find the right coat for you. Alpaca has long coats, short ones, pea coats and several other classic looks that continue to be popular through the short-lived trends. Alpaca also offers a wide variety of colors, with versatile neutrals as well as bold fashionista hues.

Classic chic coat styles include:

• Double Breasted

• Toggle

Each style is tailored to fit and flatter without being heavy or bulky. Naturally you want to feel warm, not buried under layers of clothing.

Men's Alpaca coat styles

There are also Alpaca coats available for men. Again, styles are designed to be classic and flattering, with added durability for maximum use.

• Short
• Long

Both long and short coats come in the double breasted and pea coat design. Men all of heights, builds and body types will appreciate the classic fit of an Alpaca coat.

Seasons with your coat

You shouldn't have to buy a new coat every year because your previous one is out of style or couldn't even withstand the "harsh" conditions of your closet. Your coat should be able to overcome the elements and the changing fashion trends.

With Alpaca coats, you look comfortable, warm and classically chic in a coat that will be with you through the rain, through the snow, through it all.
